Max Goossen

Max was born and raised in Bakersfield where he lives with his wife Alyssa and his daughter Maya. He is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Westside Waste Management Co., Inc., and the President of the Kern County Rural Haulers Association. His positive attitude, people skills, and work ethic were some of the reasons his Grandad, Bob Hampton, chose him as his successor. Max’s goal is to continue his grandad’s legacy of hard work and community involvement. Max graduated from Stockdale High School, then went on to Taft College and graduated from C.S.U.B. with a bachelor’s degree in science with a concentration in business management. Sports played a large role in his childhood. This is where he learned important life lessons like how to work collectively toward a common goal, how to stand tall in the face of adversity, and how lead by example.
